Filmmaker and Action filmbuff Dylan Reynolds hops aboard to illustrate the movies that are rather similar to the old school Action formula rather similar to neo-westerns like High Noon and modern-day hostage/heist thrillers like Die Hard! Some of these also got Dog Day Afternoon, Trespass (1992), Assault on Precinct 13, Panic Room, Sudden Death and Treasure of the Sierra Madre vibes but those are the main two we're using to sum up these winners and losers in Dolph's catalog of mostly remarkably awesome actioners.

We sum up the films: Detention (2003), Direct Action (2004), Missionary Man (2007), Command Performance (2009), Stash House (2012), Altitude (2017), Hard Night Falling (2019) and Castle Falls (2021) as well as give an honorable mention to Army of One/Joshua Tree (1993).
